My New Roommate Makes Me Want to be a Better Person
Yesterday, my roommate found me in the kitchen staring at the refrigerator, willing food to come to me. I had slept maybe four hours the night before and woken up earlier than one should EVER have to wake up on a Sunday to meet someone, and had not eaten in Many Hours. When I do not eat in Many Hours, I become confused and scared.
My roommate asked me if I was okay. I replied “I am confused and scared, and not sure how to continue with my life until I eat. Nothing looks good in this kitchen, I don’t want to order food because that costs money, and I have to eat because I have a ballgame, but I do not want my usual organic mac n cheese out of the box, or that instant oatmeal I bought a year ago!”, and burst into tears.
Without another word, my wonderful adorable roommate got a bowl, some chips, chicken, cheese, salsa, and homemade guacamole, and made the tastiest dish I’d ever had that day.
Yes, my roommate is awesome.
